Open Waters Blue Half Pan

Open Waters Blue is a rich, elemental blue.  Made using a concentrated oxide single pigment, and a unique custom formulated binder.  This paint virtually melts when you touch it with a wet brush.

It is a natural and synthetic earth tone pigment, which is chemically pure and without additives.

*Note: This blue contains oxides of cobalt and aluminum.

Paint with heART uses a unique binder.  Every colour has a custom recipe, adjusted for each pigment, to create the ideal balance between drying and rewetability, colour saturation and fixability.

Lovingly mulled by hand in small batches until a smooth, creamy paint is created.  Consciously tested while developing recipes unique to each colour and pigment.  This paint activates, or rewets, with ease – a single touch with a wet brush releases a rich, highly saturated colour.  Half pans are air dried in layers over the course of several weeks, in order to maximize the filling of each pan and reduce cracking.
